HR赫蓮娜是氣質優雅、一生充滿傳奇色彩的赫蓮娜(Helena Rubinstein)女士本世紀初創立的全球第一個國際性化妝品牌,被譽為「美容界的科學先驅」。

HR赫蓮娜女士在1872生於波蘭, 18歲時遠赴澳大利亞,從事藥物配方工作。因此擅長將藥物配方科技使用在她的護膚品的配方中。從1902年,她在澳大利亞墨爾本開設第一家美容院起到現在, HR赫蓮娜品牌已經遍及了51個國家，成為真正的美容王國。
Helena Rubinstein夫人於1902年就成立世界上第一家美容院，而著名的Elizabeth Arden則在1910年開設第一家美容沙龍，此後這兩個美麗女人的競爭，成為現代美容產業最好的發展榜樣。

Helena Rubinstein夫人以「嚴謹、科學、藝術、哲學、女性」為精神，從創業開始就希望成為「美容界先鋒」，一百多年來Helena Rubinstein一直遵守內涵，同時不斷創新，其品牌勝出關鍵在於首創許多前衛大膽的作風，Helena Rubinstein夫人是一個劃時代的新女性，也是女性永遠可以追隨的典範！

Helena Rubinstein於19世紀出生在波蘭Cracow的猶太家庭，年輕時她遠赴澳洲投靠親戚，1902年於墨爾本開設本世紀第一家美容院，率先在櫃檯主動為顧客提供美容諮詢、針對不同肌膚性質提供護膚產品，產品由她弟弟在波蘭製造，運到澳洲銷售。不久她與夫婿Mr. Titus結婚定居倫敦，分別在倫敦、巴黎開設Valaze美容院。，1914年第一次大戰爆發，她搬家到紐約並開設Helena Rubinstein美容院，1916至1918年期間是Helena Rubinstein重要發展時期，其美容院擴展到芝加哥、波士頓等地，而此時Elizabeth Arden也在1910年開設第一家美容沙龍，兩者良性競爭帶動現代美容產業的蓬勃發展。在當時保守氣氛下，猶太身份的Helena Rubinstein夫人，由於時常周遊列國，並經常與知名皮膚學家、生物學家、營養學家為伍，累積深入的皮膚相關學問，同時確立ＨＲ百年來以科技研發為宗旨的遠大目標。Helena Rubinstein夫人同時熱愛藝術，她與當時的名畫家如畢加索、達利等都是好朋友，可以說畢生都在追求完美的事物，以高科技為品牌後盾，不斷在產品品項、質感上努力開發，因此Helena Rubinstein不只是一個專業美容品牌，更為女人提供由內而外的肌膚呵護。

1938年66歲高齡的Helena Rubinstein嫁給俄羅斯王子Atchil Gourielli，當時可是一大盛事。1939年紐約舉辦世界博覽會，她推出創新的第一支防水睫毛液，正式踏入彩妝產業領域。二次大戰結束後，高齡73 歲的Helena Rubinstein回到歐洲戰場，她親自主導業務，建立全球的美容王國。1950至58年期間推出許多創新產品，每一種都大受歡迎。以最新皮膚醫學、整容科技為基礎，Helena Rubinstein各項產品融合各種創意，始終為女性帶來前衛大膽、美麗加倍的效果。

1965年4月1日，Helena Rubinstein在紐約去逝，享年93歲。L'Oreal集團在1988年併購HR，但仍然遵守Helena Rubinstein定下的「科學」與「藝術」兩大特色。
