在意大利的佛羅倫斯往內海途中，在塔斯肯尼青翠的山上，座落了世界馳名的Terme di mantecatini礦物溫泉，吸引了大量的皇室貴族，名門淑女趨之若騖。
在意大利這個浪漫的國家，佛羅倫薩山區有一座知名的Terme di mantecatini礦物溫泉，這座溫泉是許多皇室貴族、名媛淑女保養渡假的勝地。這座意大利蒙地卡提尼Montecatini的礦物溫泉的有著獨到的護膚秘方，Montecatini意大利北部托斯卡尼Tuscany省的古老城市，從公元前4世紀就有湧出的礦泉水。Borghese公主在1965年以這座火山岩漿的礦物溫泉成份為主要訴求，創立了Borghese這個公主品牌的化妝保養品。Borghese公主將護膚研究室設置在溫泉，更將溫泉水中的有機礦物專利配方搭配，成為品牌中礦物溫泉護膚系列的名稱，將流傳千年的美麗公主秘方發揚光大。

Borghese公主全名是：Princess Marcelle Borghese，她從小學習藝術並熱愛戶外活動，1965年她與夫婿Palol王子在美國旅行途中，因為一個化妝品業界的朋友鼓勵，於是Borghese公主就將母親傳承給她、整個家族的護膚秘方貢獻出來，從此展開化妝品的整體事業，而Borghese品牌也在美國開始壯大。因為是以意大利火山岩漿礦物溫泉成份為訴求，Borghese品牌最著名的產品就是：「礦物營養火山泥漿面膜」 ，每週只要2-3次、一次只要5-10分鐘，就可以深層清潔毛孔，讓肌膚更加明亮細緻。科學家混合溫泉水中有機礦物成份的專利配方，把地殼內暗流數個世紀、蘊含豐富礦物質及植物精華的地下泉水，融合人體肌膚中獨特的水分及活力補充液，成為尊貴的皇室護膚秘方。

Borghese在歐洲以彩妝：唇彩、指甲油獲得極高評價，60年代化妝品事業在美國紐約站穩腳步，此後品牌在美國逐漸發展，最後總部就設在紐約。其護膚理念包括潔膚、醒膚、活膚、潤膚及特殊護理等步驟，後來更針對不同膚質提供完整的系列需求。Borghese品牌旗下產品有臉部、身體、護髮系列等，同時為增加護膚理念的推廣，同時也廣設護膚沙龍。Borghese品牌在1994年進入台灣市場，一直努力推廣品牌的礦物溫泉護膚形象，香水跟彩妝是比較薄弱的一環，其實其彩妝產品系列非常完整，彩妝靈感來自流行的米蘭，質量也十分優異，只能靠逐步推廣，目前在台灣以百貨公司專櫃銷售為主，同時設置「礦泉護膚沙龍」，以推廣品牌的礦泉療養理念。

目前Borghese品牌業務都由公主的長子來掌管，公主年紀非常大，長住在瑞士養老。「任何品牌不應該只是為了獲利，產品也必須要卓越」，這是Borghese公主對肌膚保養得的信念，就讓這個皇室尊貴的公主品牌，以自然的古老泉水，守護寶貴的肌膚！
